Nates Sermon - This week we are going to be looking at Timothy’s journey in- second gear to steal Dan’s analogy. Looking at Timothy’s journey in is a little different that looking at other characters in the Bible. We can only infer from Paul’s writings what is going on in Timothy’s life. Now at first this may seem like a terrible way to look at a journey in, but it is in fact a very efficient way of doing things. Other people tend to see our strengths and failures easier than we do. This is especially true of a mentor. It is the mentor’s job to do this. And since Paul is Timothy’s mentor we can be relatively sure that he knows Timothy, and where he has grown and needs to grow.
