Fall 2008 Retreat - The Ancient Path
A small band of devoted followers living on the margins of a brutal empire - start a movement that grows to 20 million in 300 years. A movement that continues to this day with 4 billion adherents in every corner of the world. How did they do it, and more importantly, how does it continue through us? Join us for our fall retreat coming up this September as we seek to return to the Ancient Path that was the origination of the Christian movement. A devotion to Christ through spiritual practices that are as old as the movement itself.Here's what's in store:
Friday:
4pm - open for registration
6pm - dinner
8pm - Opening Session - The Path is a Person (Keynote Speaker Nate Cartel)
10pm - Free Time
Saturday
8am - breakfast is served
9am - Session 2 - Following the Path through prayer and scripture (Keynote Robert Krumrey)
11am - Seminars (topics include worship, prayer, scripture study, the church, and mission)
12:30pm Lunch
1:00pm - Seminars
2:30pm - Free time
5:00pm - Group Rec
6:30pm - Dinner8:00pm - Session 2 - Following the path through community and mission (Keynote Robert K.)
10:00pm - Free Time
Sunday
8am - breakfast is served
9am - clean-up, pack-up, and head to MERCYhouse

Where is the Retreat? Pinebrook Camp; Directions
How will I get there? Use your own transportation or show up at our main building on Friday at 3pm to hitch a ride.
How much does it cost? $100 due on Friday of retreat (email Kristen if you need a scholarship) You can pay through Paypal, or with a check or cash.
How do I sign-up? Email Kristen and let her know you are coming or sign-up in our Sunday morning service in our information area
What are the accommodations like? Dorm style with bunks and showers. Very new and nice.What kind of activities are available? Swimming and Canoeing at Lake Wyola, Hiking, Volleyball, Large grassy area for football/ultimate/soccer/cricket, indoor game room with pool/pingpong/foosball/etc., Low elements ropes course
What do I bring? Bedding, Casual Clothes, Bible (we have extra if you need one), flash light if you've got one, rec equipment you think might be fun to have around during free time, swimsuit if you plan to swim or canoe
