Twice a year our church takes a deep breath, looks out over the path that we've been on and considers what lies ahead. Here are the highlights from the meeting:

1. Leadership Team members for 2010: Our new leadership team for this year consists of Dan Moylan, Steve Mirigian, and Robert Krumrey. They will serve as overseers, shepherds, and primary teachers for the church.

3. Finance update: As we've sent out 2 churches in 2 years, there has definitely been a strain on our finances. We are currently taking in around $1,900.00 / wk and we need $2,600.00 to meet our budgetary needs. Steve Mirigian, our treasurer, gave an exhortation to those in the room to give and to encourage others to do the same.

4. Midweek group update: Dan Moylan gave an update on the growth of our small groups. Groups are growing both by addition (people are adding to groups) and multiplication (new groups are being started).

2. First Floor Project: MERCYhouse currently owns a triple decker apartment house next door to our main building. It houses 4 paying tenants in the top 2 floors and a house manager on the first. We are currently loosing thousands of dollars on the utilities and upkeep of the building and reaping minimal fruit for the kingdom of God from these dollars. At this summit, the church voted to revoke a former vote that gave the goahead to borrow up to $120,000 in order to upgrade the space for more tenants and voted in a new plan to raise $44,000.00 in cash in order to upgrade the first floor of the house to be used as a small group / church office space.
