Hello everyone! We had a very successful prayer meeting earlier this month, in which we prayed for many things from MERCYhouse to things happening around the world. I would just like to share with you all the prayer requests from MERCYhousers (which have been kept anonymous) from the past month. If you feel led to pray for any of these requests then I would invite you to do so.
Pray for my friends that they would receive God's salvation and that He would use me as a light My great-aunt had cancer but was healed. Pray that she would remain healthy. Pray for the salvation fo a professor at my college (Amherst) Jeremy Gardner, Jake Sammuels, Nathaniel Lewis, Jimmel French, Jimy Welsh, Karishna Halley, Gabriel Mogul, that they would receive salvation My family's salvation & endurance. Leadership direction for next semester Haiti Pray for my friend Sean. My brother is applying to college. Pray that he will know God's will for him in this challenging time. 1. A gentleman that I know is going to have an early probation release hearing this week. He has to show the judge that he learned his lesson about drunk driving. Pray that God's will is shown in this. 2. Praise: I received a research grant, so now I seek wisdom in how to actually carry out the data collection for my experiments. Pray for YL leaders and YL kids. Pray for workers to come this semester This new semester: for the finances to go to youth advancement, tuition, and everything else. The people of Haiti I pray that God will continue to bless my business Upcoming trip to Guatemala: for money, safety, relationships, etc.. To do well this semester Please pray that my heart obeys God's will and commands. Please pray for my mother to build an intimate relationship with God. Please pray for me to stay motivated in school and for me to reject slacking and procastination. To walk by faith, also with personal struggles. That I learn all that God intends for me to learn this semester before I graduate Thank God for protecting me throughout the whole of last year, and ask for His grace and mercy through this year. Prayer for my country, Haiti that God lay His hand down to save the people & deliver them from pain. To regain my health quickly becasue classes are beginning. Financial breakthrough for my family My brother, that God will capture his heart again For my mom who is living away from my dad... and family. Help her to get through it. Pray for me - strength to restore old friendships with people I really care about Pray for my mom, who is going through a very tough time, to be surrounded by positive, loving people at her work place. She is the only honest person there. My friend is going abroad this semester and is really nervous. I pray that this experience is everything she hopes it will be. A close friend had her husband in a car accident and daughter diagnosed with leukemia in one week. Both are in hospital. My friend's dad is in the ICU. I need prayer to find a summer job Dicernment, holiness, stay closer to the cross and my mother Please pray for opportunities to share my faith at work + courage to do so boldly. That I would desire God above my earthly life Please pray for my brother who is away from God. Guatemala & Travis Shultz Please pray that I can become a better witness to my family, who do not know Christ yet Pray for my friends who are recovering from surgery together. Travis- good fortune for Abouorganico in Guatemala. Pray also for another friend who is finding her way Family who lives apart from each other. Students and Christians: help them activate! Haiti Pray for jobs, I really really need a job! For a wonderful semester filled with the Holy Spirit! Safety for the people in Haiti. The salvation of a professor at Amherst College. Praying for a friend's greatgrandmother! A prayer for a fruitful Godful year A friend has nerve damage or something that has caused him intense pain sometimes and lesser pain constantly. Doctors he's been to do not know the cause or how to treat it. Please pray that a cure would be found or that God would give him the strength, faith, and endurance to live with it. A friend named who is struggling with the cycle of sin, but desperately wants to be free. He is talking to God. I just ask that God would speak to him and help him. Pray for my friend that just returned to Umass after a semester off at Community College. I pray that he does not fall into habits that he did when he was here last. Pray for the staff at my job, that they would come to Jesus-fully- and that I'd be given grace to play whatever role God wants me to play in sharing the Gospel w/ them. Please pray that the workers who are needed will come My home pastor's mom's health. Pray for wisdom for her doctors to understand what she's going through. That I can find a church near my college campus (West Hartford, CT) To live in God's love and grace, and to stop striving by my own efforts. For my friend, that she would find God. My brother: That he would desire to be close to Christ, and that God would fill him back up. To never lack in friends My mom's job search,, Internship opportunities for this summer, opportunities to share the gospel on campus For my dad to keep going to church Stay in God's presence and mirror His image A prayer for all those that are one hope, the innocent children in the walls. Pray that I would completely depend on God, rather than on my own abilities, to keep up with nourishing my spirit with prayer and God's word. Pray for my mom and 2 younger sisters to know Jesus. Pray for guidance and protection for my family, friends, and myself. Also, for wisdom and understanding in my studies Mom's job search, our car search That I would be slow to speak and quick to listen; that God would tame my tongue. A change in me, my family, my friends, someone I love very much, and anyone else that really needs it. A movement of change in our hearts toward God. My boyfriend Please pray for my girlfriend's mother who recently had surgery and is in a lot of pain and stress because of it. Please pray that my mom builds an intimate relathionship with God. Please pray for Haiti. Please pray for my heart to detest procrastination and distractions so that I may do well in school by focusing on school work. For my mom who is living away from my dad... and family. Help her to get through it. Pray for me - strength to restore old friendships with people I really care about Pray for my mom, who is going through a very tough time, to be surrounded by positive, loving people at her work place. Church - there is a lot going on and the church is collapsing. My friend's dad is in the ICU. His name is Bob. For my mom - continued conform through her illness. I need prayer to find a summer job Dicernment, holiness, stay closer to the cross and my mother Please pray for opportunities to share my faith at work + courage to do so boldly. I need prayer because I feel abandoned and I can't repress it anymore For my finances For workers for childcare, and for a friend who is feeling sick Prayer for friends going through hard times. Prayer for finding a job For blessing of two of my friends who are moving forward together. For another friend that God would help her find her way. Prayer for my relationship w/ God, academic career, and my country Haiti Pray that I shold have the faith to trust in God always. Pray that I can whole-heartedly commit to God; This is my first semester being away from home so I find myself doubting myself in my beliefs and if I'm really Christian by faith and not by name/identity A safe trip to California Please pray for my sister's health, and for my friend who may have cancer Praises: Really great trip, no issues with kids. Confirmation of choice: 3. Go back without any issues even through a weather advisory.4. Breakthroughs in communication with Tobiah. Requests: 1. One good solid male christian friend for Tobiah. 2. Smooth transition to new job/ Please pray for me as I go through some legal difficulties Pray for wisdom that I would have peace in my mind, and know the right decisions to make. My mom's depression has gotten a lot worse recently and no medicine seems to be helping. I want her to have joy and actually want to live, but more importantly I pray for a deepr relationship with Christ. Also, for her and my father's marriage. It is pretty rocky right now. Please pray for wisdom to have a conversation with family about giving to MERCYhouse For Haiti, starting off school semester right. Haiti For my family and friends, victims in Haiti, and those who are in Haiti trying to help That God will help me develop my Christian faith. Protection for my mom, Please pray for a friend, that God would give him peace and strength to get through a rought time at scool and wisdom for knowing what to do in a relationship One of my residents in the Residence Halls on campus is suffering with finances and academics. I pray that she finds her way to God and ask for His help My brother is addicted to cocaine, also in an abusive relationship - please pray for his healing and wisdom for my parents. A friend's friend may have cancer and is having financial stress. My boyfriend's father needs knee surgery, and is dealing with the death of his brother. Please pray for my mom -- for her to have an intimate relationship with Christ. Please pray for my success in school. My prayer is to feel God's love My husband and I are planning our first child. Pray that God would bless our family and conceive a healthy baby Pray for direction and my next few steps. Pray that the midnight cry event would go well and that God would provide everything we will need to make that event happen. Pray for my friend. He has some psychological difficulties and I pray that God would heal him and let His truth shine in his life. Also pray for my friend's health, as some new medication may be adversely affecting it. Please pray for my friend that she would find peace with and through God. She is a genuine person who I pray finds joy in Christ's love. Haiti Please pray for the rehoboth congregational church, that its members would unify, rebuild, and heal. Endurance, family's salvation and salvation on Amherst Campus. revival in the pioneer valley. Pray for God to help my family to see Him For my friends to know Jesus' unconditional love for them, especially my friends in my house and on my crew Please intercede for me for wisdom, discernment, and guidance as I choose professors to be on my theses advisory committee and as I begin to plan my experimental data collection proposal which is due in 2 months. Pray also for the family of the Olympic luge athlete who died earlier this week. 3. Pray that I will focus my time better so that I may accomplish my studies and have time to exercise physically as well. For staff at my job - to taste and see the goodness of Jesus. For my own healing, repentance, forgiveness of others, redemption of past experiences, and growth in areas of anger and lack of faith. For my friend who may have cancer. Please pray that Jesus would make Himself known to her through this hardship. God would work at eaglebrook Finances TAM- healing and guidance My relationship with my boyfriend, that he would know God. Assurance that God will provide a summer work opportunity. Healing for my mom. Thank you for prayers for my daughters that they know they are loved and we find the best preschool/etc.. for her and her development. For all the unborn Pray that God will provide opportunities for me to share my faith with some of my co-workers. My co-worker's mom was diagnosed with lung cancer friday. It's inoperable and they're not giving her long. Please pray for her and the family. Health for my wife, and job provision for a mutual friend of ours. Amherst college Athletes bible study To find balance in my life For my family in Haiti Please pray that God's will will be done in my mother. Please pray for me and for school For my aunt who is in her last days. She is dying from cancer That my last few weeks with my family will be good. Pray that God will give me patience and love for them even when I'm frustrated. Pray for me that I would have Discernment. Pray that I would remain in God, mirror God's love, pray for my mom, and Christ's love in a friend's life. My parents: that God woul drestore their marriage. Salvation for my friends, Jake Sammuels, Jeremy Nathaniel, Karishma, and Gabby For my mother: suffering from illness. Pray for relief, comfort, and calm. she's also looking for a job. Pray for finances, new career and interviews. that my dad would let go of his anger towards my mom. My friend needs multiple back surgeries from a car accident last August. Now she is really stressed about her insurance benefits and her navy benefits. She even has to travel from Illinois to Washington D.C. for a discussion with the Navy. Please pray for herto feel God's grace and wisdom. 2: pray for 3 of my grad student friends to begin attending Intervarsity I've been feeling distant from God, am over-stressed, over-whelmed, and my relationship with God has taken the hit because of that. I don't know how to get back to the place I was with God Thank God for my life. Protection for my family. Prayer for my grandmother, prayers for abundance and a clean heart for myself and my family. Mom's job search, that I love my father unconditionally My friend is in a coma and on a respirator. He can't breathe on his own. He is 19. Encouragement and hope for my parents and their marriage. Hope and a journey towards healing for my mom and her depression. Pray for a hunger for God's word and that my spiritual roots would run deep in Him. Pray for all of the Umass/5 college campus ministries, pray for the students struggling with temptations of college (not being chaste...drinking too much, etc..) I really want to keep growing in my faith, giving my life to Christ and letting my light shine before others. I need Christ to strengthen me because I don't have the strength myself Discernment, strength, faith, patience, my relationships, school That I can get a job. For my uncle that has cancer. Health, finances Prayer for my friend and the struggles that she is facing. Please enter her heart and help her see what God wants her to do. Pray that God would give her strength and help her. Pray that I would be activated, that I would step out in faith trusting JEsus to lead me. Ask to hear the word of God and live it. Just being giving into temptation a lot this past week and feel like I'm hiding from God. I'm tired of being a lukewarm Christian Pray that we would love God with our minds by reading the Bible and talking to God. Please pray for my business, that God would bless it. Prayer for my family's eyes to be opened to the true God, that God's will would be done. Please pray for Rehoboth cong. church, that healing and unification would be experienced by them. Please pray for me, that I would allow the holy spirit of God to help me in all that I do. Thanks to God for financial and job provision. Thanks also for fellowship with wonderful people. Pray for my mom who is traveling overseas |
